We find where we live a beautiful spot on earth. We that is Jakob Schwabl, Nina, and little Ida, and we welcome you to the family atmosphere of the Wieshofgut. We treasure the pure mountain air, the rural idyll, and the outstanding quality of life. There are also many opportunities to discover nature in our hometown. We would like to share this wealth with guests worldwide and invite you to spend your holiday in Saalbach Hinterglemm at the Wieshofgut.
Even our ancestors welcomed visitors from other regions with open arms. The first records of the Wieshof estate from the 1930s reveal this. Around 1936, Jakob’s great-grandfather extended the estate to include a youth hostel, even though farming was already hard work. In addition to the strenuous work in the fields with horse and plough, taking care of the animals and shearing sheep, Jakob’s great-grandparents always had a lot of affection for Wieshofgut guests.
Jakob’s grandparents built the Hotel Wiesenegg in 1956, and nine years later, the Landhaus was built next door. The guest accommodation now includes the Wieshofgut apartments. The farmhouse used to be located where you spend your holiday at the Wieshofgut today. This was built in 1954 by Jakob’s great-grandfather and was later also Jakob’s parents’ house. In 2021 it finally had to be demolished, and the new Wieshofgut was built. Jakob still lives there today with Nina and Ida.
Perhaps you, too, would like to stay in our apartments and become part of the colourful Wieshofgut story?
We look forward to it!
